“We love to walk! We just returned from a five-day stay at WorldMark Seattle - The Camlin through Wyndham Club Pass. This beautiful, historic 1920’s hotel with a wonderful staff was minutes away from the shopping district, the Paramount Theater, and we can’t forget Starbucks! We purchased the Seattle CityPASS prior to leaving home which enabled us to experience Seattle’s best attractions at one affordable price. Every morning we ventured out on foot (map in hand) to discover Seattle. We walked to Pike Place Market, the best farmer’s market with hundreds of shops, restaurants, beautiful flower bouquets, and the world-famous fish-catching experience! Wow!
While vacationing, we like to experience unique restaurants. We ate lunch at Place Pigalle, located in Pike Place Market, which serves French dishes and has spectacular views of Puget Sound. The duck confit was delicious. We spent hours walking the streets soaking in the views, exploring the shops, and people watching. Later, we dined at the Pink Door, an Italian restaurant with exceptional cuisine. We sat on the terrace overlooking Elliott Bay. After dinner, we strolled back to The Camlin for happy hour.
The following day we walked to the monorail and visited the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens, and the Seattle Center. Day three, we walked to the Seattle Aquarium. Day four found us at the Woodland Park Zoo where we spent the afternoon meandering through well-marked walkways, observing animals in their natural habitat. Before checking out on day five, we walked again to Pike Place Market and had breakfast at Piroshki, a small Russian bakery that appeared on the Food Network’s Diner’s, Drive-ins, and Dives. The decadent pastry was a perfect ending to our vacation. After returning to The Camlin, we gathered our luggage and strolled a couple blocks to the train terminal and rode it to the airport. This was another excellent way to get our “steps in” for the day because the train stop was located about a mile from the airline terminal gate.
Earlier this year, we took our grandchildren to Club Wyndham Smoky Mountains, a water park resort in Sevierville, Tennessee. We didn’t have to worry about getting our walking time in during that stay. We walked miles riding the different water slides and wading around in the giant wave pool!
Our Club Wyndham walking experience wasn’t over yet. In April, we spent a few days at Club Wyndham Glacier Canyon in the Wisconsin Dells. This resort has four water parks which meant we, once again, did a lot of walking while experiencing the resort. We also spent time visiting antique shops, small towns, and spent an entire afternoon walking through the Wisconsin Dells Outlet Shops.
So here we are preparing to spend our summer walking and biking in beautiful northern Michigan, while planning our next Club Wyndham resort experience! With so many wonderful Club Wyndham vacation options and locations, it may take us a while to decide! What a nice problem to have!
Thanks for helping us support our healthier lifestyle!”
