“The purpose of our trip to Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek this time was to come to help our daughter in the recovering process of her knee surgery, i.e. driving her to her PT sessions as well as her therapy sessions with the UCF training staff.
It’s an incredible feeling, when one has the privilege to be affiliated with an organization and family such as Club Wyndham. We have been with the Club Wyndham family now going on our 27th year. It has afforded us, as a family, the opportunity to create lifetime memories. This being no different.
We had made a request if at all possible to be on the first floor with a pond/lake view to help accommodate our daughter, whose mobility was somewhat impaired due to the aforementioned knee surgery.
At check-in, we were greeted by Nikoya. She was very friendly and patient. She saw the request and presented us with two options. We went with building 1, floor 1, lake view. The unit was perfect. They checked in on us and asked if everything met our expectations.
With the rapid evolving situation that COVID-19 was presenting, knowing that we were going to be here until the 28th of March, we were asked to move to building 6.
I went and met Sanela and Jaime at the front desk to get our new key cards. They asked how our stay was going. To which I replied ‘Awesome.’ They were somewhat surprised by the answer as their response was – ‘even though all the amenities have had to be suspended out of an abundance of caution.’ I said, ‘it’s clearly beyond the resort’s control. You are doing what’s in the best interest of everyone involved. You can still find things to do.’
There have been daily phone calls throughout the week from Velicia, Sanela, Judith, and Claudia to check in to see if we needed anything or if there was anything they could do. I also had the opportunity to talk with David (assistant resort manager) and thank him for providing an incredible experience in the midst of some very trying and difficult circumstances.
There was an incredible spirit of gratitude, hope, and optimism displayed by all. It’s unfortunate that we have to leave but we look forward to coming back again very soon. There’s no doubt that when that day comes, the Club Wyndham family will once again continue to create incredible lasting memories that will be forged in the heart and minds of many little ones as well as parents.
My only hope and prayer is that we all will, because of the challenges that we are presently facing, be less selfish and more willing to be more appreciative in tangible ways such as taking the time to express our gratitude, because you all do a wonderful job in trying to provide the best possible experience for each and every one of the guests.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
From someone who has been incredibly blessed to be an owner and part of the Club Wyndham family,
