Making Vacation a Priority

"I was a workaholic. When my husband and I went on our honeymoon, it was the first time I had ever used a vacation day.

Enticed by the free breakfast and cash for listening to a presentation, we were brought to Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek, where we debated over the upfront cost of timeshare, but ultimately made one of the best decisions.

The following year with our 3-month-old son in tow, we headed out on our first trip, not quite knowing what to expect. We thought maybe the other resorts wouldn’t be as nice as Bonnet Creek, but we were blown away. Purchasing through Club Wyndham has forced us to vacation every year, and our family is so much better because of it.

Our family has now grown; we have five kids ranging from 2 to 11 years old, and without Wyndham there is no way we would be vacationing like we are. Regular hotels are not made for large families, and confining all of us to one small room is not a wise idea. With Club Wyndham we know that we will be getting a beautiful, well-kept resort with plenty of room for the whole family.

Another difficult thing with a large family is making everyone happy at mealtime. We have several picky eaters and the cost of eating out really adds up for a family of seven. We save a few nights to go out as a special treat, but otherwise we get a lot of use out of the full kitchens.

Two years ago we went on a 5,000-mile road trip with stops in Las Vegas, Nevada; Oceanside, California; and Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Last year we spent time in Atlantic City; the Poconos; and Hancock, Massachusetts. This year we’re revisiting one of our favorites, Bonnet Creek, and planning an incredible two-week-long theme park vacation that would otherwise not be affordable.

With Club Wyndham, my husband and I are able to give our children dream vacations every year, something that we weren’t fortunate enough to have when we were little. When we became owners, we made vacation a priority and it has changed our lives. If we were to make the decision all over again, knowing what we do now, there wouldn’t be a debate — it would be a resounding ‘yes!’”
