Getting the Most with Your Points
Getting the Most Out of Your Points
Listen up, Club Wyndham owners. You can get the resort and destination that you want while saving your points — here’s how.
First, you’ll need your points chart. You can find it on the resort page under the “Room Types” section. Points charts tell you how many points you’ll need to book your vacation based on the resort, suite size, and timeshare season. With your chart in-hand, you’re ready to book your vacation and save your points with these 4 tips.
Tip 1: Vacation During Value or Quiet Seasons
Timeshare seasons are determined by a resort’s availability during certain times of the year. The more popular the season, the more points you’ll need to book that resort during that time. Prime and High seasons are more desirable, but also require more points. By planning your vacations in Value and Quiet seasons, you can save your points for a future getaway.
Tip 2: Travel on Weekdays
Be flexible with your vacation days. Sunday-through-Thursday vacations require fewer points per night, and there’s usually more resort availability during this time. Who said vacations have to be a weekend shindig anyway?
Tip 3: Look at Nearby Locations
Some resorts in your destination require fewer points than others. Plus, they’re still located near the activities and attractions that you want. For example: If you can’t find availability at Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida, check out Club Wyndham Cypress Palms, Club Wyndham Star Island, Club Wyndham Orlando International, or Club Wyndham Reunion. Compare the points charts for each resort to get the best deal.
Tip 4: Save Up Your Points
Want to take that ultimate bucket-list vacation, but don’t have enough points? Save up by depositing this year’s points into next year, which will give you more to use for your future vacation. That way when your next Use Year hits, you’ll have double the amount of points for that once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Don’t forget –you get access to monthly Deals & Offers for a 15-50% points discount at select resorts. And just like that, you have the tools you need to get a great deal, book a vacation, save your points, and turn one vacation into two.
