GET READY FOR THRILLS AND MAGICAL MOMENTS
Anaheim is home to many theme parks, both mainstream and homegrown. Here, there’s something for all ages — from the thrilling rides of Disney California Adventure Park to Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at Disneyland Park to tasty berry treats at Knott’s Berry Farm.
  • Disneyland Park

Born from Walt Disney’s imagination, Disneyland Park opened its gates in 1955 and since then generations of families have enjoyed the park’s eight themed lands as well as a broad selection of shopping and fine dining.

  • Disney California Adventure Park

The newer of the two, Disney California Adventure Park is a perfect for thrills. Originally built to celebrate the Golden State, it has more extreme rides and a variety of different experiences not found in the first park.

  • Knott's Berry Farm

Looking for something with a sweet history? Head to Knott’s Berry Farm, America’s first amusement park. This 1920s family farm that once sold berries, preserves, and pies has now evolved into one of California’s best theme parks. With five themed areas and dozens of rides, this popular attraction has something for all ages.

Huntington Beach

Nicknamed “Surf City, USA,” Huntington Beach’s salty air and beach flair make for a picturesque day no matter the time of year. Enjoy a walk down the pier where you’ll find ice cream and magnificent views as far as the eye can see. Play on the beach — there’s surfing, volleyball, biking trails, hiking and more.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, stop by the farmer’s market for local eats. If the sea is calling your name, head to Sushi on Fire for a unique Japanese experience. A local favorite, Duke’s, is right off the pier with cocktails, delicious seafood, and a front-row seat to take in the captivating, crashing waves.

Laguna Beach

Meanwhile, the art season in Laguna Beach flourishes all year long. The Sawdust Art & Craft Festival is a can’t-miss summer festival every year from June to September. Enjoy live entertainment, local artists, demonstrations, classes, and unique cafés. Or, visit on the first Thursday of the month for the First Thursdays Art Walk from 6-9 p.m. The event celebrates the diverse cultural art scene of Laguna Beach and is free to the public.
