Have you ever wanted to learn how to grow your own food but live in an urban area? Dig into the “urban permaculture” movement by taking part in the Planting Seeds pilot program in Portland.
Club Wyndham Portland Waterfront Park has teamed up with master regenerative farmer, Daniel Campbell, to teach owners and resort guests how to live more holistically and reduce waste by embracing their surrounding ecosystems to grow their own food, at scale — no matter where it is they call home.
As a complimentary, on-property experience, travelers are invited to join one of Campbell’s free monthly workshops, where they will learn everything from the basics of soil health and growing organic food in cities, to DIY fruit pruning and pickling, to how to choose the right vegetable species for your climate — all from the convenience of the resort’s outdoor patio.
Owners can simply book a reservation at Club Wyndham Portland Waterfront Park that coincides with the Planting Seeds workshop schedule below and enjoy the on-site experience. Non-owners can visit extraholidays.com/plantingseeds to book a rental stay.

Today PDX Farm operates as a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm, consisting of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits. The farm currently serves approximately 14 families in the Portland area.
