MYRTLE BEACH DESTINATION GUIDE

Myrtle Beach 3-Day Itinerary

Make a splash in Myrtle Beach. This classic beach town has it all — from its famous boardwalk and powdery-soft beaches to shops, restaurants, and much more. Next time you head there on a weekend getaway, try this fun-filled itinerary so you can spend less time planning and more time having fun with the family.

Day 1: Beach & Boardwalk

Morning
For a relaxing start to your seaside getaway, spend the morning enjoying the sun, sand, and surf along the peaceful Golden Mile beachfront.

Afternoon
Head to the famous Myrtle Beach Boardwalk to spend your afternoon strolling the promenade, riding the SkyWheel, browsing shops like the Gay Dolphin, and playing a few arcade games at the Fun Plaza.

Evening
Stick around the Boardwalk to watch the sunset. This 1.2-mile stretch of uninterrupted ocean beautifully reflects the colorful evening sky as the sun slips out of view to the west.

Day 2: Sports & Shops

Morning
Fuel up for a day of bucket-list activities with a hearty breakfast at Sea Captain’s House. Once a charming, oceanfront cottage, this cozy restaurant is known for serving the best breakfast in Myrtle Beach.

Afternoon
Reserve an afternoon tee time at one of the town’s many spectacular golf courses. If you’d rather stretch your sea legs than practice your golf swing, opt for an adrenaline-pumping adventure on the water instead. North Myrtle Beach offers the best range of watersports, with jet skis, parasailing, scuba diving, and much more.

Evening
Wind down with a glass of wine and a little retail therapy at Broadway at the Beach, an outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment destination that stays open until 11:00 p.m.

Day 3: Nature & Nightlife

Morning
Don’t leave town without trying the best pancakes in Myrtle Beach at Johnny D’s. In case you don’t have much of a sweet tooth, stick around for home-cooked, Southern-style skillet breakfasts and biscuits with gravy.

Afternoon
Myrtle Beach has many spaces to enjoy a bit of nature and wildlife, including state parks like the sprawling Huntington Beach. Spend your afternoon exploring the state park’s many winding nature trails, including stops at Brookgreen Botanical Gardens and the historic Atalaya Castle.

Evening
Nightlife in Myrtle Beach is vibrant, with plenty of live music venues and stylish bars. There’s so many bars to choose from around the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & Promenade, but you can never go wrong with local-favorite Barnacle Bill’s Rum & Raw Bar.
