The Anne Frank and Jewish History of Amsterdam Private Tour begins at the Portuguese Synagogue, one of Amsterdam's most beautiful buildings, where you'll learn about its history. The tour then takes you to the Jewish Historical Museum, showcasing four synagogues, and to Dokwerker, where you'll hear about the February 1941 strike against the Nazi occupation. You'll pass by the Hortus Botanicus and the Holocaust Memorial at Wertheimpark before exploring the Plantage neighborhood, the most scenic part of the canal district. Next, you'll visit ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo, learning about the people who hid there, and the Holocaust Namenmonument, which commemorates over 100,000 Jews who perished. A walk through Dam Square, passing the Royal Palace and Nieuwe Kerk, leads to Westerkerk, where you'll hear the bells that Anne Frank once heard. The tour ends with a visit to the Anne Frank House, where you'll learn about Anne's life and legacy.
